Oil well production and hard “across the line” motor starting
With our common sense innovations, we routinely save our customers in the oil production industry thousands of dollars every month. Most of the rental fleet has been outfitted with “oversized” generator ends. This allows us to use much smaller units to accomplish hard motor starts.
Many of our customers use variable frequency drives (VFD’s) to control their electric motors. These VFD’s will tend to damage a marginally sized generator due to heat. In the past, the oil company was forced to rent a generator set with an engine that was far too large for the job. This resulted in a much higher rental fee as well as a substantial increase in fuel consumption. By building our equipment with oversized generators, VFD caused heating is not an issue and we are able to send a unit with an appropriately sized engine that costs the customer less both in rental rates and fuel costs.
Remote locations and harsh environments
Most of our equipment has been designed with backup systems in place allowing continued operation when non-critical systems fail. This minimizes down time and inconvenience when waiting for repairs.
For cold environments where other power sources are unavailable we will provide propane fired circulating heaters.
Every skid mounted unit over 60 kw is equipped with a minimum 500 gallon fuel capacity for long run times. Rental tanks up to 2000 gallon are available for extended run time.
