Grizzly Power was founded in 1985 in Edmonton by Lloyd Nelson. One of Lloyd’s legacies is the strong foundation and values he instilled in the company, which continue to guide us today.
The Early Years
For the first few years Lloyd was a one-man-show. His rentals exclusively served Alberta’s oil and gas industry. He knew responding to client’s needs quickly and intelligently matters; And of course vendors must be cost-effective. He noticed during slow times, others sought to cut corners and costs, Grizzly Power stayed committed to its roots. That set us apart from the competition. As a result, Lloyd’s business grew to serve many other industries. Thanks to this, we have a long list of repeat customers!

We’ve grown since Lloyd’s day, and while we are now part of the T&T Power Group, we’ve remained proudly based in Nisku, just outside Edmonton.
